Description
Valparaíso (pop. 284,000), and Viña del Mar (pop. 285,000) are sister cities located halfway down Chile's seemingly endless coastline and sixty-eight miles northwest of Santiago. A city of seafaring traditions and grand hilltop views, Valparaíso was once home to the famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Valparaíso also functions as the primary commercial harbor, naval base, and seat of political power for the country, which creates a unique and modern dynamic in a city with its roots in the colonial past. Together, Valparaíso and Viña del Mar offer something for each visitor, including spectacular beaches, museums, and architecture.

ISA (International Studies Abroad)'s Mission Statement
ISA's mission is to provide high quality education abroad opportunities to American and Canadian college students at an affordable price. We recognize that we play an important role in the worldwide effort of international educators to increase individuals' awareness of cultures and societies outside of their own national boundaries. Our programs are designed to maximize our participants' learning abroad, and we understand that most college students need support and expert guidance before, during and after their time abroad. ISA is a Global Partner of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and supports NAFSA's efforts to advance international education and exchange.
