Description
The International College at Beijing (ICB) is a public higher education institution providing a rich, cultural learning experience in an English-speaking environment. ICB was established in 1995 as a program within China Agricultural University. In the same year, it gained the accreditation of the North Central Association for Higher Education of the U.S. Moreover, ICB was assessed by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and authorized to confer degrees. In 1998, ICB received equal cooperation with the University of Luton in the United Kingdom. In 2003, the same cooperation was built with University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom. At present, ICB is developing into an advanced college with multiple joint programs. ICB has more than 900 Chinese national students, and around 20 overseas students. There are more than 30 professors and experts from the U.S., the U.K., and Canada etc., teaching at ICB every year. ICB has many subsidiary academic facilities: the English Language Training Center, Chinese language and Cultural Center, the English Reading Room, a Media Center and Multimedia Computer Lab etc. Every year, there are about 300 graduates from ICB, half of whom are working in foreign enterprise, and others are studying for their masters degrees in the U.K, the U.S., Australia and Canada.

Highlights
Face it. Not many of us know Chinese well enough to study in a Chinese university. Most U.S. students will choose to go to an "island" program, where they study with a group of Americans, separate from the locals, but this is not the only option. The International College at Beijing is the ideal location for the student looking to study side by side with Chinese students. There are offerings in business, accounting, human resources and media. With the increasing importance of China in the world economy, an in-depth knowledge of the country may serve you well in the future. At ICB, you will be in a truly unique environment: a Chinese campus where English is widely spoken. It's a great place to meet Chinese students without knowing the language, and develop relationships that will last a lifetime. The campus is buzzing with activity. You can sense a country on the move!
