Description
The European Union forms the most important trading area in the world and represents an enormous financial and commercial marketplace for the American business world. This AIFS summer program visits the capitals of five European Union countries with formal classroom teaching in London, plus extensive field trips in all citiies. During this multi-city summer session students visit London, Paris, Brussels, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Prague. Students complete 30 hours of formal classroom lectures, plus approximately 50 hours spent on field trips for a total of 3 semester credits.

AIFS program fees include tuition, housing, some meals, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, and more.

Highlights
Spend 4 weeks during the summer traveling across great European cities. Meet a member of Parliment one day and visit the Berlin Wall the next. Lectures enhance site visits and enable students to select areas or topics of special interest for more extensive research. Taught by faculty of Richmond, The American International University in London and accompanied by a specialist in European affairs.

Students are lodged in multi-bed rooms in tourist class hotels. Formal classroom teaching in London plus extensive field trips to all cities. Western Europe provides a compelling backdrop to course material, giving students insight into the impact of Western civilization on the rest of the world.
