Description
The Communication & Mass Media program is designed for students majoring in communication, media studies, journalism, advertising, or related fields. It offers you:

* An understanding of the background, forms and implications of current radical changes within the global mass media industry

* An appreciation of how external pressures translate into changes in the ways media enterprises produce, edit and market news, advertising, entertainment and information

Students in the Communication & Mass Media program take the program core course, Current Trends in Mass Media, and participate in the two course-integrated study tours. Beyond the core course with study tours, students will enroll in elective courses and are free to select any combination from the DIS curriculum, barring schedule conflicts.

Study tours in the Communication & Mass Media program include one short regional tour in Denmark, and one longer European tour to London-Oxford during the first week of the mid-semester study tour. The study tours feature highly topical study visits to media institutions, newspapers, news agencies, and advertising companies.
