The Tropical Ecology and Evolution tour is a true academic adventure in the tropical paradise that was inspired by Charles Darwin! Students explored the unspoiled Galapagos Islands - hiked across volcanic desert islands, observed amazing creatures and snorkeled in the species-rich waters a thousand kilometers off the coast of Ecuador.
Taught by Dr. Christopher Bazinet, a leading St. John's professor, BIO 1859 - Tropical Ecology and Evolution is a three-credit course that introduces students to tropical ecology, biodiversity, and evolution. A required journal documents observations from field trips, and notes from seminar sessions.
