The Semester in Belize program is a flexible program that allows students to select their courses and customize their curriculum based on courses available at Galen University. Students may choose from courses in Environmental Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Tourism Management, Business, Economics and Liberal Arts. This program enables students to define a curriculum that is appropriate for their academic needs.
Belize, the only official English speaking country in Central America, is full of wonders, including meandering rivers and untamed jungles, unique wildlife, Maya ruins and diverse and friendly ethnic groups. A small country bordered by the Caribbean Sea, home to amazing diversity of flora and fauna, making it an ideal location to study sustainable development, environmental studies, tourism management, archaeology and anthropology. This academic program has a large outdoor, field-based component designed to take advantage of the natural resources of Belize. The curriculum is enhanced by extensive field-based excursions and practice depending on courses taken.

We aim to build competence- anyone attending college today will collaborate or compete with people and companies from around the world over the course of his or her career. It is difficult for someone to be effective in this global environment without some intercultural competencies and an awareness of current international issues.
