Description
Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.

IES Berlin offers classes at the renowned Humboldt University zu Berlin as well as IES courses taught exclusively in German by leading German faculty in intimate classroom settings. The IES Berlin Center is located within a 5 minute walk of Humboldt University, where German language courses are held and IES students can mingle with German students. IES Berlin incorporates field study into all of its courses, and strong academics are complemented by field trips within Germany and Central and Eastern Europe as well as cultural activities around Berlin. As the cultural capital of reunified Germany, Berlin is both dynamic and vibrant. Founded in 1992, the program usually enrolls 40 to 50 students each semester.
